Uh…anywhere? There are plenty of alternatives that are less bloated and less shitty and faster.
I honestly don’t even know why people use it.

Custom built desktop so we can get into that if we want
Minisforum MS-01 running Proxmox
Minisforum S02 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy Book…5?
Surface Laptop something with the Snapdragon elite X or something
I need them to all be able to easily and quickly integrate and interact.

Mouse drivers, CPU something, USB issues, and Bluetooth.
It varies between my different servers and systems. It’s just one of those things where like, yeah, maybe I can solve it, but it’s going to take hours and I need to be able to constantly move forward.
If I didn’t have to work 12+ hours a day it might be different. So I don’t necessarily fault the landscape, it’s just that I can throw Windows on any system and it works and I can RDP into it and it works and it adjusts DPI and such automatically.

I’m 8 distro attempts in so far and have yet to not sink substantial time into driver and general usability issues.
In another life I’d be happy to sacrifice productivity to grind on fixing the issues, but presently it has real costs.
For now, I run Proxmox and a slew of linux containers and VMs - but still unfortunately use windows as my primary :/

Rufus let me install windows with a local account and debloat scripts let me nuke/hide OneDrive.
And, INB4 anyone says “switch to linux”, I’m sorry but it just isn’t viable while maintaining the same seamless experience for what I need. I hate Windows, but I also value my time.

All the other shit aside, it bothers me that so many areas now rely on Starlink, handing Elon the keys to just cut access for whomever whenever.

Claude Code, or Claude in general, notably Sonnet 4.5 and Opus 4.5
Gemini also solid, though for coding found it lesser than Claude, but for heavy inference and reasoning it can be great and also supports a larger context window

FWIW, ChatGPT and Copilot are two of the worst AIs out there for things like this. At many gigs I’ve had they’re outright banned for use because of how garbage they are.

Haha, awesome.

Let’s just erase Jared Kushner. Certainly he must be susceptible to bullets?

I would, personally. I am not white. I am relatively well off. I still believe I am generally fucked.
I would leave last year but there are some family and job issues. However, I have two avenues to two countries and plan to exercise one of them within a year if still possible.
If I could do it today, I would.
I would agree with a bet against OpenAI, but not Nvidia.

Definitely more helpful. But I would preface that with proper context building.
It isn’t enough (generally) to just tell it to do the thing. It is far better to to tell it to do a thing, and how, and provide rules, and provide examples, and provide the company’s best practices.
And I realize it takes a bit to get there, but I’m at a point that with enough context provisions, I can generate 10+ files of code for a net new feature that is 99%+ how I would do it in sub 5 minutes.
Do I tell Product that I still need another week? Absolutely.
Context is king.

It goes through two levels of review, we do not accept slop.

I feel like you must be prompting it poorly or using ChatGPT / Copilot?
I’d say in my day to day, AI tooling successfully tackles 90% of my software engineering jobs and with proper context and promoting the output is pretty stellar.
I miss the brief moment Tesla dealerships were being vandalized or set on fire.
