  • It’s not really popping, it’s the sound of two slightly wet surfaces getting drawn apart. It’s only sounds a bit louder due to it taking place close to your eardrum.

It might indeed just be your eustachian tubes being wide, like suggested. You could’ve still had some blocking of the tubes due to to mucus/snot.

Also there blockage might not be painful, it can just come across as a slightly more duller perception of sound around you. You can stimulate the effect by keeping your nose and mouth closed and sightly blowing air, like you would blow your nose (don’t push to hard, though)

  • I thing Dutch people from my generation have you all beat:

Purno de Purno (porn pun very much intended)

A psychedelic cartoon about a funny guy in spandex that has a shitload of nudity (tits, penisses etc) to the point of him even crawling in the vagina of a giant lady in space. It has references to litaral drug use. Have a look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o6MIJ7Iq1U doesn’t matter if you know the language, just browse through. That episode is called ‘In het hol van de kietelaar’ which translates to ‘In the clitoris’ lair (hole)’

This was on kids tv. Nobody got seriously harmed by it. It was funny and weird, but you don’t really register exactltyy how weird it is untill you hear about sensitivities on US TV (nipplegate lol)

a stll, much more to find

  • Like with most skills, one becomes confident with practice.

I’m a natural introvert and an only child and therefore has little practice of taking to others. I had no idea of how important small talk is. I learned by working in a bar, where social interaction can’t really be dodged and found out that social interaction isn’t that daunting as it seemed to me.

It still not my biggest hobby yet I’m not longer afraid of social interaction like I used to be.
