I’ve always had fun trying to say ever letter in most words. Like that french knight in Monty Python, “I blow my nose at you, so-called Arthur king, you and all your silly English k-nnnigggets” which is hilarious to me because french words dont use like half the letters in them usually
My wife does that, I’ll ask what she want to do “next weekend” on like Wednesday but that doesn’t mean the coming Fri, Sat, Sun to her, that’s “this weekend”
I can’t deny it does make sense to me somewhat, last is previous, this is current, and next is the one after current, but next and this for weekends are the same until you get to Thursday in my opinion.
Two cats, both have their own annoying thing. Black short hair bob tail: will get into any and all food if left out. Has learned to open cabinets and cupboard to get to hidden food. Has chewed through a cardboard box to chew through the bag of dog food, found him neck deep in the bag crunching away. Has chewed a hole in a canvas bag to get to dog food. Oh, and recently started peeing in the laundry. Long haired colorful: gets bored and wants to go outside, will wander the house screaming at the top of his lungs, clawing at every door. Happens anywhere between midnight and 3am, almost every night. Will bolt for the door if you have it open and aren’t watching for him. Where does he want to go? Rolls on his back in the road.
I’m a welding engineer and in 10 years of working in automotive manufacturing all of the controls engineers I worked with were electrical engineers who did basically ladder logic on PLCs all day every day. PLCs and ladder logic are the back bone of pretty much all industrial automation, of which the automotive world uses extensively
The account has two comments from 10 months ago about how there is no real justification for using the atomic bombs on Japan, and this post. Really not sure what the dela is
TIL Hyperborean comes from Greek mythology and were people who lived in the far northern parts of the known world. It became known to signify remote and exotic locations.
Someone needs to show this to Kentucky Ballistics so we can watch him nail steel at 100 yards one handed with it
That’s what I remember, it was supposed to be an anthology season, each one new stories of people gaining powers and leaning to use them. Then “save the cheerleader save the world” was so damn popular the exec’s wouldn’t let the characters go
Seawater is two teaspoons salt per cup of water. That’s a little more than half a cup of salt per gallon of water. That is an unhealthy amount of salt.
I will never stop being impressed by the absolute insanity that is British rhyming slang. Apparently I’ve never heard seppo before, short for septic tank, rhyming with Yank. I just learned a new mildy derogatory term for Americans, nice
And at least one person survived the Titanic.
What happened to the rest of them? Possibly does not mean probable.

I love these comics so very much. The tank ones are my favorite
How do you have a respectful or insightful discussion with someone uninterested in being respectful or having insight?
How do you explain the suffering caused by separating children from parents at the border to someone who doesn’t see those people as human? To someone who thinks they deserve to suffer for existing in the wrong color of skin? At what point do you call a spade a spade?
Should be holding a flood, there’s even an outtake from one of the voice actors.
