That’s the confusing part about the whole Watkins saga - there were rumors that we were in for him, then they sold Duran, which made it less likely. But they’ve also loaned in two players… why, if not to prepare for someone else leaving?
I reckon he’ll be decent for Villa, better than he has been for United in the past few years, but I’d say he’s well past his peak.
