    The supposedly russian bad guys are mostly not actually russian. Mostly they are some variety of native Germanic speaking actors. If the casting department is going for authenticity, it may be someone speaking the wrong branch of Slavic.

          Always cracks me up how Swedes are cast as Russians. Guess they convincingly do that stereotypical “Russian voice”
