I have a pair of nice bluetooth headphones that I really liked and then I got a pair of cheaper ones to use whenever my good ones were charging. The nicer pair have these soft flexible ear tips that are comfortable and shape to my ear. The cheaper pair have a more rigid texture with a slightly larger tip.
Sometimes i fall asleep with the cheaper pair in and after a few months, I’m noticing that my nicer ones don’t fit as nicely anymore. My ear holes have actually been stretched and gaped by those cheaper headphones to the point where I use the cheaper ones more than my nice ones because the nice ones don’t fill out my ruined whores of ear holes anymore.

Similar experience except it was disposable earplugs that stretched me out and left me sore after too many one night stands… Found a pair of nicely sized Loop earplug knockoffs that know how to treat me nice and gentle all night long so my hole stretching nights are happily behind me
I used to wear earplugs for work a lot. Taking the plugs out after a couple hours felt sooooo good.
