ONE SHALL STAND. ONE SHALL FALL.Experience the animated epic that changed TRANSFORMERS forever. THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE returns to theaters for its 40th ...
I was 4 years old when my dad took me to see this in theatres. He had to take me out of the theatre because I screamed and started bawling my eyes out when Prime died. Heck even before that I was starting to cry quietly when the Autobot shuttle was attacked and everyone on board was slaughtered. It wasn’t until like 2 years later I that I actually watched the entire movie on TV. my dad recorded it to VHS. I wore that tape out after 20 years of constantly rewatching it over and over. I know the movie line for line, have the entire script memorized including the soundtrack. Like sometimes in the shower I’ll just quote the entire first 15minutes of the film.
To say that this silly toy commercial of a movie is my favourite movie of all time is an understatement.
I haven’t seen it in ages but it was so heavy for a kids movie. I recall the GI Joe movie being similarly heavy too with the death of Duke. It’s crazy what we grew up with compared to today. I think it helped me be more emotionally intelligent at an early age.
