So for context, a certain Zionist Feddit admin complained earlier about being banned from lemmy.ml and they recently got banned from here for the same thing. But they were not banned from sh.itjust.works and made a post complaining in !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works, I’m not linking that directly they’ve already accused me of brigading their community.
Anyway I argued with them for a while and continued to shoot down their deflections and justifications (way longer than anyone should argue with any Zionist troll) and goat decides to respond to me accusing me of using antisemitic symbols, the triple parentheses. Now what I actually used were 3 sets of quotation marks but he said they were similar. And asked me to edit the post. What do you think?
Is he right? Should I edit the comment? Or is he just trying to deflect from my criticism by saying it’s antisemitic?
No bans or removals have happened yet in this situation as of writing this.
Edit: I want to say, that the reaction to this post is shameful, many of the people below in this posts’ comments are some of the legitimately most disgusting people on planet earth. Holy fuck I anticipated some nastiness but never this much.
I’m not making another of these posts and I will be reporting and blocking any of the dipshits who make accounts to harass me in my DMs.

I should’ve known better than to trust or listen to @goat@sh.itjust.works in any way… I don’t know how I missed this but if I saw this before posting this thread I never would’ve posted this thread at all, because there isn’t any logic whatsoever here, and any assessments of me or dbzer0 made by goat are being made in bad faith.
I don’t have any input on the mod behaviour, but, while I wouldn’t think twice about the quotes if the context were different, it really does look suspicious to me in this specific context, especially around the word bigotry
The triple quotes in combination with the implication that German policy is actually controlled by Israel does get my hackles up
Should note. I am aware I spent way WAY too much time engaging with a Zionist troll and ultimately was and did only feed them, and ultimately a few others as well (one of them was motivated to create an account trying to impersonate me and make people think I’m antisemitic). And also stress me out and possibly cause problems for us. I use multiple quotes sometimes to express when phrases are tired, worn out, or otherwise excessively used, and usually false. Sometimes I use two quotes, sometimes 3 I don’t think about which one. Also I’m deleting this post. I’m tired of being harassed by assholes here. I might undelete it if @Flatworm7591@lemmy.dbzer0.com confirms he’ll lock it ASAP since history is important but I’m done with this today.
extra sets of scare quotes is to emphasise the kind of “”“so-called”“” sarcasm of it and is nothing to do with the far right practice of putting three or more brackets around the name of a person or institution to indicate that it has set off their “”““jew radar””“”
If I had seen Goat’s other comment which I added to the post for clarification I would not have bothered even making this post because it was a waste of time. Also I did delete the post, this post has gotten a lot of harassment and I continue to get harassment for it and it was the only way I could reliably stop it since the mods weren’t fast enough to lock it and I cannot take any more abuse today.
