US President Donald Trump told Norway’s prime minister he no longer needed to think “purely of peace” after failing to win the Nobel Peace Prize, in a message published on Monday.
“Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace,” Trump said in a message to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
It is unclear why Trump decided to send a message to Støre as the peace prize is decided by the Norwegian Nobel Committee and not the government.
Can we give him a Nobel War Prize?
I’m not joking, he is ignorant and narcissistic enough that he actually might appreciate it, we can tell him that we acknowledge he is the absolute best in the world at war and maybe he won’t feel such a need to prove himself to us any further.
By his logic we must refuse him the War prize to have him want peace.
If only we have given Adolf Hitler a Nobel peace prize, 2nd WW would have never happened…
He’s never thought purely of anything, especially not Peace.
Correction: he’s always thought purely (as in only and exclusively) about “what’s in it for ME?” even when the motivation was impure in every way.
