If they ever want to go the comics’ way, there’s already a bunch of characters able to dance the mutually destructive tango with Homelander. Adding Marie to the mix would be superfluous. If I had to guess, her power-up makes me think she will end up crossing path with Butcher.

If it was that easy neuman would have done it. I think she and homelander had a conversation about it where she conceded that he’d be too fast in realizing it was happening and stopping her from her effective distance.
I always assumed they came to a deal, where she agreed to not kill him in exchange for him helping her achieve her goals.
Yeah no kidding, even the later Matrix movies have better scripts than this show, some painful dialogue.
