  • I already knew about it being used for wolves (although I did not know about what it was used for, or its origin). I was just joking with some people’s obsession of using these terms. Thank you for your comment, though.

(If these terms were originally used for wolves, could it be that the people using them… are furries in denial?!?)

  • talking about sex roles

I don’t understand the obsession some men have in calling themselves and other men Greek letters. Is it some kind of secret code for sexual intentions? For example, could the sentence “get lost, beta male, let the alpha male do the talking” mean “you’re clearly a sub, I can’t wait to dom that cute ass”? And could the sentence “damn, you’re sigma as fuck” mean “finally, a switch! You should come to my orgies ASAP!”

imo that’s a stupid sentence that doesn’t say much. It supposedly means something like “there are certain circumstances that I/you/we would like to change, but there’s nothing any of us can do about it”, and I agree that there is a ton of things that are outside our control, but I do NOT like the sentiment this sentence oh-so-often transmits that we are all incapable of doing anything when things become rough.

The path we take in life will never correspond to the one we dreamt of, and it will stray away from it, as it already has many times, in ways we cannot yet imagine. However, that is not (and will never be) a good reason to give up. Because it’s in the face of adversity that we shine the brightest. And if you want to dazzle, OP, it’s now more than ever that you must fight your struggles with all your strength. Bring it on!

  • From the update:

One area we want to focus on after 3.0 is improving our UI/UX design process. We have set up a separate UX repository to report and discuss issues related to design. We are looking to build a team of designers to discuss and create design improvements to GIMP that also respect existing user’s workflows. Denis Rangelov has taken a strong interest in this area and has already done great work in identifying, categorizing, and moving design issues from the code repository to the dedicated design section. Some design improvements have already been implemented for 3.0, and we look forward to working with community designers to give people a better experience!

It’ll take some time, but it seems like improvments may be coming.
