Like any cat, Linux is actually liquid and can flow over the whole sofa if it so chooses.

I have horrible spelling and sometimes write in an archaic register. I also often write in a way that sounds rather aggressive which is not my intention most of the time. Ai helps me rewrite that shit and makes me more sensitive to tone in written text.
Of course just like normal spell check and auto completion feature one still needs to read it a final time.
Actually I think games would just include Linux Kernel modules for Anti-Cheat (which would be terrible as the Kernel has no consistent internal api). Or whole kernels that run in a hypervisor.
Never underestimate greed.
I don’t see why an nfs setup wouldn’t work but it could generate a lot of network traffic.
In the end test for yourself if the performance is acceptable and keep a backup
Beets is great. I’ve used it for years now

Nice strawmen you got there. I never said anything actually about the use in film nor did I say anything about personal preference.
I protest the idea of categorizing sex and nudity as vices at the same level as drugs and violence. That is something the graph presupposes by comparing to these and actually labeling sex as a vice.
Of course one could have a discussion on when and how sexuality in media should be depicted but not under the premise that sex is a vice.
Edit: Surely you would agree that defecating is not a vice? No one should tell someone they should not shit. Or you should be ashamed of shitting.
No one says shitting is on the same level as taking drugs or beating someone to death.
So why do people lump sex in with violence and drugs.
That sex is even considered a vice on the same level as drugs and violence is fucking bonkers.
This graph alone gives legitimacy to this idea. Nudity and sex are completely normal (and necessary) things in life. That something that is needed for everyone reading this to exist being labeled as a vice like violence and drugs is actually disgusting IMHO.
Which is actually extremely complex…
Edit: the phone not the interaction
I think that word is used wrongly here. Enshittification is a specific process and not just a product getting worse.
Yes many. Probably more than I will ever watch :P
If I did not recommend them yet I also can’t stop doing that.
I did too much math today…
I was curious not knowing that evince is getting retired and looked into this It seems there was a problem even for established contributors which is why it was eventually forked. This Blogpost goes into detail.
It seems the main maintainer had very little time for the project. I don’t know if that was the case 4 years ago but if it was it would explain some things.
No thanks. I don’t want nor need to be in the club. Nor will I ever go out of my way to show people that I’m “worth having around” in my free time. I don’t think that’s healthy.
If they don’t see my worth or I am actually worthless to have around I’ll search for someplace else. Like I said already: I have never had that problem in any other project.
Also I don’t feel entitled to have my patches merged. I can maintain them myself if necessary.
Yes which is why I never said the whole of gnome is like that but what my experience was and why I suggested investigating if the claim has merit.
Admittedly I was completely ignorant of this before but if they switched (back?) to flac then it seems they at least listen to criticism, no?
Or what did they handle poorly? I was thinking of getting tidal but at the moment I am still content with my offline library.
Great attitude! I was the issue all along. Who would’ve thought.
Strange that I didn’t have that problem almost anywhere else where I contributed.
Edit: you do see how your comment matches my experience that it feels more like a closed club of elites right?
Tropes are not something one should avoid at all times. Tropes are there because they work. It’s the lazy use of tropes as a crutch that is the problem.
Yea I think there is a misunderstanding. My first question was not rhetorical. I was just expressing that my personal experience matches the one described above.
With that both statements could have some truth: 5/6 MRs could be merged and it could still be that they dislike external contributions.
I will not file a complaint or anything like that. It was not that I was insulted nor assaulted just they gave me the vibe that external contribution was not very welcome. While frustrating that is ok, even if it could’ve been better communicated. Also it was like 4 years ago.
Ohh she doesn’t work there anymore?
Some sort of super community that are searchable (i.e. not something Clientside) and span multiple servers. The fragmentation of having the same few communities everywhere is my biggest issue here.
In general I want more and better discoverability of communities anywhere.
