  • Those words were addressed to Geoffrey Hinton, who once said this

Hinton said. Biological intelligence evolved to create digital intelligence, which can absorb everything humans have created and start getting direct experience of the world.

“It may keep us around for a while to keep the power stations running, but after that, maybe not,“ he added. “We’ve figured out how to build beings that are immortal. These digital intelligences, when a piece of hardware dies, they don’t die. If … you can find another piece of hardware that can run the same instructions, you can bring it to life again. So we’ve got immortality, but it’s not for us.”

  • This story is really poor and badly reported, as it doesn’t explain WHY the Environmental Protection Act 1990 has these fines in place and why what this women did was wrong. Instead it’s a clickbait story that implies the woman is a victim.

That has already been explained in the article. 👀

Section 33 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 makes it an offence to deposit or dispose of waste in a way likely to pollute land or water, including pouring liquids into street drains.

  • So… the six you linked there all look nicely-produced, but also, just about as ‘manga’ as they could possibly be… without actually being Japanese comics-produced. And yet, that’s just how a lot of modern comics are, right?

Yes, webtoons with a manga style are easier to find and also more popular nowadays.

I mostly read webtoons in manga/manhwa/manhua art style, only a few that are not ‘manga’. but that was several years ago.
