I agree mostly. I just see way more ignorant takes left and right on Lemmy. Yours is actually a better way of stating things. I’m also in the actively shitted on iOS side of things as well. Between plexamp and infuse… it’s highly polished for me.

My advice is always if you’re just now starting to definitely go to jellyfin. I bought lifetime plex pass maybe 16 or so years ago. One day I’ll probably give jellyfin a try.

Well you’re on Lemmy and it’s not FOSS. Not a great place to get unbiased opinions on the matter. It’s actively shitted on in the fediverse. They even bum rush the plex community here.

No I do not think so (to both questions) but I don’t follow the development much anymore either.

Anything black/“urban” generally gets heavily downvoted on Lemmy. Haven’t figured out why. With all the other heavy virtue signaling you’d think it would also be pushed.

It’s one of the many things that aggravates me about my experience here. I went back to Reddit after over a year of only spending it here.

Kagi has a fediverse lense, but I’d give the Lemmy webUI a try whenever you wanna search something up. It’s not that bad.

There needs to be less one sided group think, but I’m not sure that’s even possible anymore at this point. Just look at the US and how they voted this year. None of those voters want to be on this super woke platform. The population on here are the minority and just need to get used to it.
