Where does that put me?

Would Tails go in cool and good or schizo?

I haven’t seen any AI generated images on here in nearly a year. So it’s interesting to me that you’re seeing enough of it to be an issue. I blocked like 3 or 4 AI boosters because their absurd arguments made me angry and want to argue, and I don’t come here to be angry and argue. So if I had to guess, most of the objectionable content you’re seeing is probably coming from a handful of people, a tiny fraction of the active users here.
If it took people actively calling them out to prevent some sort of normalization and spread, then new people would be routinely poping up and posting slop that I would see. I think most people just realize that it adds nothing to the community, and aren’t about to start spontaneously doing it or liking it just because they see someone else do it without being challenged.
The ship is sinking and everyone is grabbing what they can before the mother of all hype cycles comes crashing down.
I suspect it’s largely more the result of failing internal organization. Like, a detached from reality and ideologically motivated faction with in corporate leadership has seized control of the company and fired anyone who told them they were being idiots or opposed their initiatives. People are probably getting promoted or hired to management positions based on their ability to tell leadership what they want to hear rather than their ability to actually run things. Everyone lower down has internalized that telling the higher ups what’s going on will get them fired and only is telling them what they want to hear. Resources and people got diverted away from projects that the management doesn’t care about (have no potential to drive growth), and they’re just assuming that the “increase in productivity of AI” will make up the difference. Now everything is melting down and their core product is losing market share while the new products intended to drive growth are failing to see meaningful adoption. Heads will probably role, but it’s unlikely it will be the people who are causing the problem.
That’s what it looks like to me from the outside.

In general, Western Europe is much warmer than the equivalent latitudes in eastern North America. The Gulf Stream current pulls large amounts of warm water from the Caribbean up to Western Europe and generally keeps the area fairly warm, by way of sheer thermal mass. Southern France is about the same latitude as Boston. Edinburgh is further north than most of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Yah they used machine learning but that’s not really AI, or at least not “generative” AI which is what people associate the term with at this point.
Saying it’s AI gives the impression that it’s just a prompt and output system, as supposed to… well closer to the virtual instruments that get used in DAWs.
They’re mascots for voice banks used in various voice synthesizers. (Not really AI and have been around a lot longer than the current trend of slapping that label on everything)
Miku is kind of the OG for a program called vocaloid, which is a proprietary piece of software.
Teto started off as a voice bank in UTUA a free software, but since she’s gotten a release with synth V which is another proprietary voice synthesizer program.
Anyone can use them to voice a song and use them to say anything, but they’ve sort of developed personalities by association with what songs using them have gotten popular.
The joke here being that a lot of (recent) popular songs using Teto are fairly existential, self deprecating, or otherwise speaking to internal misery. Where as a lot of notable Miku songs tend to be a bit more silly and light hearted. specifically, the comic is referencing the song “Miku” by Anamanaguchi. The teto here would be more in references to things like “ MINIMUM RAGE”, “ ライアーダンサー” (liar dance), or “ROT FOR CLOUT”.

Lmao, straight up he’s got no fucking attention span or patience. He’s just going in circles pushing on issues, trying to find one that will budge with just mean words rather than having to spend money or do anything material.
He wants some sort of “win” something concrete he can point to and say “look how much we’re winning” because his poll numbers are in the toilet. He’s surrounded him self with incompetent yes men who keep failing to give him meaningful results, and he’s terrified of losing the house and senate in 11 months.

In my experience, scientists are the freakiest.

Too much trauma from being invaded by people on boats, not enough trauma from being invaded by people on land.
It’s super common with young men, those who don’t have someone to “live for” but plenty of people to “die for”. No dependents, but lots of people they depend upon.
The greatest sin a man can do, in many societies, is to be an immediate burden, to take in more resources than they provide. To be a momentary net drain in material terms. Of course the pressure completely ignores emotional impact ether positive or negative, and generally discredits the material value of traditionally “feminine” work.
That’s kind of the core of a lot of misogyny and patriarchy, emotions and care are not the responsibility of men, their only responsibility is material. How others might feel when they are gone doesn’t matter, the chance to benefit them by dying, even if slim, trumps any emotional impact of them not being around, or any potential long term material benefit of them still being around.
I… just want unscented deodorant, and the one brand I’ve been buying since high school seems to be trying to kill the unscented line because only one store around me carries it anymore. And none of the other common brands have an unscented variety around.
I guess I’ll switch to the lavender if I have to.
The N1 was absolutely not as capable as the Saturn 5. N1 was only capable of 95 tons to low earth orbit and 33 tons to trans trans lunar injection, compared to the Saturn 5 being capable of 140 tons in to low earth orbit and 43.5 tons to trans lunar injection.
The N1 had a lot of technical limitations in its design. The tanks were much heavier per volume of fuel carried. The computers were bulky and comparatively primitive. And while the staged combustion NK engines were technically impressive in their own right, their specific impulse paled in comparison to the hydrolox J-2s, and the fact that only 5 F-1s were needed just made it fundamentally more reliable than the NK-15 which couldn’t be tested because of their single use valves.
Also, how to know if you have a special interest in Cold War related history topics.
