I broke the screen on mine doing the transplant. Was able to get a new screen to fix it but it made it a 100 dollar project instead of a 20 dollar project.

I like biking but don’t do much of it anymore because of crazy drivers.
I’m sure plenty of pedestrians have been killed by cyclists. I’ve almost been run over multiple times by spandex warriors running red lights. I’m not convinced if you looked at percentages and not raw numbers you wouldn’t find just as many irresponsible cyclists as you do drivers. I see multiple drivers doing something stupid every day and I see a cyclist every week or two doing something stupid. Difference is I see 200 cars a day and 4 cyclists.
The best thing for your safety on a bike is to let the aggressive driver go, not to police them. Antagonizing an irate driver is a recipe for disaster no matter if you are in a car, on a bike or a pedestrian.
None of my friend’s parents growing up would sue the school, but they were all the type of parents to go in and argue with teachers over grades. It was usually to go from a B to an A or some bullshit.
My parents on the other hand were more like, you fucked that up didn’t you if I didn’t do well on something. I would have been mortified if they argued about grades on my behalf.
Ugh I miss play music. It was such a good service. YT music was a joke as a replacement.
Volumio - Multiroom audio service. You install the os on a pi and hook up some speakers. The basic streamer is free for local files on a single device at a time. I paid $200 for a lifetime pass a few years ago. That gets you multiroom synced audio like Sonos and lets you add in streaming services.
Qobuz - Music streaming service. Much higher quality than Spotify, no shitty MQA like Tidal. They will have articles diving into a genre, band or record label with links to notable albums. It’s “station” playlists and similar artist recommendations are garbage but I’m more of an album person.
I was hoping it was moe from the Simpsons.
Worst was this girl making an uncomfortable amount of eye contact the whole time. It was like she was trying to start her way into my soul. I’d make eye contact to talk but kept having to look away because she was just too intense. I would not be surprised if she was some sort of succubus or siren trying to drain my life force.
After about an hour she asks if I have autism… I went to the bathroom and called one of my friends to vent. When I returned she asked if there was going to be a second date… There was not.
So does mine, and we just got hacked. Almost like users make stupid passwords when required to change frequently.
I always wake up when Jurassic Bark comes on and it’s a real bummer. So I don’t watch Futurama going to bed anymore.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Seinfeld. I know they are always yelling but it soothes me. I think me visualizing the scenes as I listen helps.
Occasionally I fall asleep reading but I’m usually too interested in what I’m reading to sleep. Same with music it’s either too interesting or too boring.
An couple of American made guitars. A thinline telecaster and a Taylor 717. I’ve been playing on cheaper guitars for 20 years and finally was in the position to treat myself. While they sound a play a little better it’s not a huge difference, especially after a proper setup. The acoustic was the bigger improvement for sure.
Definitely a luxury purchase but after 4 years of the electric and 2 of the acoustic I still love playing both.
I like my women like I like my distros. Stable.
No way am I dating a Catholic. I will not be a “cash cow” for their weird religion.
Slow at work, what else am I gonna do? Work?
Primer. Time travel paradoxes. Two guys accidentally build a time machine and their tests of it cause chaos in their lives.
Started on the 'buntu in 2005 or 2006. Distro hopped for a decade until I found Solus. That had some dark times a few years ago but seems to be back now but I moved to Debian anyway. Feels right.
Move in with my friend in the Netherlands. He’s wanted me to move even if Biden wins.
I basically flipped my schedule when I worked nights. Went to bed at 9 or 10 am and woke up at 4 or 5 pm. I struggled on Wednesday when I wanted to stay “up late” until noon or 2pm and would then sleep until 10 pm.
Much happier back on days with a regular schedule. Though I do miss grocery shopping at 6am or getting to the trail at the crack of dawn since I was already up.
