I’d watch it. 😂
I’d watch it. 😂
That wasn’t intended to.
I feel like 90s TV wasn’t able to do but so much before networks would throw a fit, but my head canon for him and Miles is a shared custody with Keiko lol. Whereas I see him and Garak a little more platonic, with the questionable possibility or slight implication of something else. xD
Yeah I felt the same about them as I did him and Miles. I could be forgetting something, but I just didn’t get (or remember, is been about 12 years since I watched it) the sensation he wanted to bang anyone except Jadzia. Even Ezri he just wanted to be best friends with.
Now that you mention it, the name Bareil does ring a bell. And the Odo pairing sounds vaguely familiar too.
I feel like (fuzzy memory of DS9 here, so feel free to slap me with facts) Bashir seemed more biromantic than bisexual. I never got the feeling he wanted inside Miles’ pants. He just wanted to spend all his time with him.
Definitely not lesbian. Put Reno there for sure.
I don’t know how to categorize Dax. I don’t think we know enough about the symbionts to even know if they’re sexual at all, much less how they fit in the sexual spectrum. (or at least if we do, I don’t remember. I wasn’t friendly to the spectrum myself last time I watched DS9. I still shudder at the memory of who I was brainwashed to be)
I don’t remember what we knows about Kira, but she always seemed like she had very lesbian energy to me. Again, it’s been since 2013 since I’ve watched that show, so I bet it was revealed, but I can’t remember myself. But whatever she is, you gotta admit she seems like she could be.
I keep empathy for people who are misled and have been intentionally confused, but the line I see gets drawn when they have been educated and still choose to be a fascist/Nazi. If they’re fully versed in it and are still advocating for it and taking actions on behalf of it, then I lose empathy.
The problem becomes making that determination. But while I draw a line for dehumanization there, I still support death penalty just for being one (as in taking actions that are clearly intended to support or promote the belief. Keeping a known and verified Nazi alive will never be beneficial in any way at all to anyone but other Nazis.
The only real benefit to dehumanization at all is having a way to tell yourself that you’re not included in a species with that possibility.
But setting a burden of evidence for and being convicted of just being a Nazi/fascist should be grounds for execution in every country.
This is so real. I was literally finally laying down when my brother got me with this.
Take my upvote and gtfo.
Ah. Close enough.
I’ve assumed the absolute worst of disposable ones since day zero. I will go back closer to neutral if I hear something convincing, but until then I think of them as literal poison.
My previous comment was thinking more about whatever the non disposable ones are called. But since as far as I know the juices are similar and since nobody seems to know much about them, I assume the absolute worst until hearing something really good indicating otherwise. Personally, I will always treat them as literally drinking cancer.
I mean I still judge smokers, and thereby vapers, but at the very least the vapers smell better. I had one roommate take it up to stop regular smoking (he never did it in our seemingly near) the house, and wasn’t a problem, but another roommate who didn’t smoke found out about the non nicotine version of it and thought it was cool for a bit, testing it as breathing flavored air. They both got a couple upgrades for their doodads, and the non smoker stopped later, but I haven’t talked to the other guy in a while to know if he ever stopped nicotine completely or continues to vape.
I use a dry vape for weed, and shit like this is why I hate using the word vape to describe it.
To me, in my head at least, the word “vape” refers to (or connotes with) that chemical juice that comes in nicotine and non-nicotine varieties. I haven’t really followed it since it seems to be mostly a rebellious teen thing to me and I don’t know any teens anymore. But a former roommate of mine used it to cut down on his smoking (don’t talk to him often, so I don’t know if it ended up working).
Anyway, I don’t know the current science of it, but to me that stuff is just cancer juice. At the very least, it smells a million percent better than cigs, but it just seems like the worst liquid ever, and having to use the same tainted word feelsbadman.
Even as a kid that grew up with Voyager, the first thing that comes to mind is the shot of Picard pointing to the smiley face he drew in the smoke/fog/plasma/whatever as the vote was staying to explode while time was (close to) frozen. Or maybe it was frozen, it’s been a long time since I saw that episode.
I don’t see the terms as mutually exclusive. They’re pretty closely related.
As for the last bit, that’s exactly what I was getting at. Denying the potential for that is what I said was what the only perceived point/reason of denying their humanity.
That said, forgiveness is the last thing I’m willing to offer. I do believe they don’t deserve to live. They’re the quintessential group that I wouldn’t piss on em if they were on fire.
I don’t know how to work out exactly what grounds to use for it, but it should be up there with mass murder with sentencing. I’m not even opposed to using them for medical research for things that would be unethical in any other way. The opportunity for corruption though is so high I don’t think that’s practical.
