How my actions affect other people.
“Don’t hate the companies, hate the people who lobbied for copyright laws… the companies!”
Who does no. 2 work for?
Did you see more premise in the trailer than I did? Cause aside from one or two lines “Can the living and the dead co-exist” it’s mostly just loosely connected “Hey look” moments.
Sixty years ago next month in August, in fact. Well… that’s when he was first published, at least.
I am ambivalent.
That’s what post-its are for!
Explain how.
He also does put money into trying to fix the city. Gotham is canonically cursed like five times over. No matter how much cash you mainline into the city it’s not going to get better.
“Folk” is pretentious in your mind? I would think the opposite were more true. Having “folksy charm” means you’re more grounded and personable when describing someone you find to be outside the norm.
That’s in large part due to the machinations of the Emperor, though. They were a para-military policing force throughout the galaxy before the fall of the Republic. Those planets who don’t get a lot of interaction with the Republic (like Tatooine) are probably going to have less direct interaction… but they’ll still have some familiarity with the overall concept that doesn’t lean heavily into grandiose myth.
I don’t disagree that there should be more non-jedi focused stories… but I do have a problem with this:
that story got told, over 40 years ago, by the first three star wars films
A story was told. That doesn’t mean every story that could involve jedi has been told. Just the same one rehashed multiple times. Different stories, focusing on different aspects of that same mythos without retreading the same ground (again), can still be told. It just requires more risk, which is why it hasn’t been tried as much.
It doesn’t help that, because of forty years of history, people are attached to these characters and stories. They want to explore more of that. I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing… unfortunately there is a lack of focused direction that has made it difficult to continue it with any kind of stable quality.
He’s a smarmy self-important jackass who revels in the ability to get as much attention possible by attacking anyone who can’t defend themselves.
It was probably more for better paid positions, but after three years sitting at the bottom I got kind of sick of the shifts and being treated like shit.
I work in an office now… still sucks, but at least I get to sleep overnight.
Having worked that specific kind of rotating shift, you still get the shift differential (a whole 25 cents for 2nd and 50 for 3rd, wooooo). That was also with a (neutered) union.
Spider-Man Noir.
More of a tram or trolley? Simple automated things you might find at larger airports or some theme parks?
Zelda’s Adventure.
It’s nigh unplayable. There’s a monster you have to spend something like two minutes straight just smacking to kill it. Not like a boss or anything, just an uncommon enemy that sits there while you hit it and eventually it dies.
Do you know how long it takes to do everything?
Eternity. I doubt even with all time forever you’d be able to do everything. Our world is ever-changing, much less the wider universe.
The one stipulation I’d put on living forever is the ability to change with the universe. Who’s to say physics will even allow us to perceive reality in a few billion years, if we’re stuck the way we are?
