Them: I don’t know what that means. What does a system administrator do?

I think I get notifications when his status changes since I had received that initial notification that his status recently changed. As it’s looking right now, he won’t get out on bail. His bail has been set to $50k for about 3 months and he’s still there. Due to his prior violent domestic assault, my guess is that he’s not getting off easy. I’m guessing he’s looking at 5-10 years minimum right now. Won’t know anything new until next month when his next court date comes.

As for the comment about my wife, we’re all just as confused because we have no idea what she did to upset him than defend me when he originally attacked me on FB years ago. My wife’s theory is that maybe he sees her as taking me away from him when I moved away at 18 and got married.

He definitely got some kind of treatment during his first incarnation and was on medication. Whether or not he kept up with it after he got out I don’t know. But he definitely took MDMA probably among other things at the festivals he went to. He briefly talked about his experience with it.

In his letter to my mother, he said these diagnoses were given to him during his current predicament. So they are definitely doing something in prison right now at least as far as evaluating him.

I meant my wife and kids, sorry I didn’t clarify that in the post, I’ll update it. Like I said I don’t really have feelings for my mother and I could give a crap about his dad.

I really hoped he was going to do that before he got locked up again. I always kind of hoped he’d reach out again, but I wasn’t holding my breath.

Which is why I’m now questioning why I even bought them to begin with. Any time a security flaw is found I need to spend another $50-60. Seem crazy and wasteful.

Well shit, a Studio Ghibli movie I haven’t seen. I guess I know what I’m doing this weekend. My wife and 16 year old have already said they are down for it. Not sure if I want my 9 year old to sit in on this.

I knew an English speaking American born well off white dude that pronounced this as “kway”. It was the most annoying thing that came out of his mouth besides all of the bragging and “I’m smarter than everyone” attitude.

I’ve been listening to Pushing Ice by Alastair Reynolds thanks to a recommendation I saw here on Lemmy. This is one that I’d like to see a movie or series adaptation.
