Both numbers seem too low. I suspect the fans manipulated each other’s favorite movie.
More realistically, they should be at 7.8 and 8.5. My personal rating is 8 and 10.

Let us start our fan mantra: please don’t suck. Please don’t suck. Please don’t suck.

IMDb approved my correction. It’s now July 18.

Oh, this isn’t the new “Horizon Zero Dawn”. 😜

It’s only one source. The other one doesn’t mention her birthday. The Twitter source is marked with “better source needed.”
IMDb and TMDB say it’s today. One The Expanse fandom wiki says it on October 2nd. Some astrology site and TVMAZE mention September 2nd.
She mentioned her birthday multiple times on Twitter/X, so July 18 may be the correct date. Let’s see if I can change it in the IMDb.

It’s a curious franchise. I know I watched the first two movies, and I was entertained. I remember the theme, but I can’t remember the plot at all. It’s all blank in my brain.

I don’t have a set of rules for movies I want to watch. I don’t watch every movie, and the last few years I mostly prefer to see a TV show.
But Oscar movies have disappointed me too many times. Maybe my expectations were too high. But now I know why the quality of Oscar movies declined: they haven’t watched them.

For many years, an Oscar win downrated a movie for me. A movie has to convince me with more than just “it won an Oscar.”
The last sure thing must have been Lord of the Rings. After that, it just went down the drain.

Season 2 starts with over a minute of “previously on …”. Maybe it’s enough if you can remember season 1 well enough.
I would skim the episode descriptions on Wikipedia for the first season. And perhaps watch the last minutes of the season finale.
Too bad there’s no recap on YouTube.

There are shows with worse assholes, except the kid after season 1.

Season 1: 2024
Season 2: 2025
That’s something you don’t experience anymore as a TV junkie. I’m so happy. Especially seeing Kyle MacLachlan again. He had so much fun, a really cool guy.

Isn’t this rather a revival instead of a reboot?
