The vast majority of people couldn’t just live off basic income. Maybe a single person, no kids, no drinking, no house, no car, and living very frugality might be able to not work.

I have two strong opinions about basic income.

I looked at her channel. Judging from the thumbnails it seems to be a lot of politics and “the sky is falling” content. She used to be about bushcraft.

I find most channels will degrade once the creator makes Youtube their full-time job. Afterwards, it’s all about selling products, donations, sponsors, and memberships.

I have a data-only sim, otherwise no sim for phone calls. My phone stays in airplane mode nearly always. I use voip to make and receive calls when wifi is an option. Most voip providers, afaik, are not privacy respecting including the one I use. Planning on switching to jmpchat someday which is all about privacy.

Consider what happens when you are the last living creature on this planet. Eventually, the sun expands into a red giant and now you give to live in constant agony inside the sun. Of course, there is space travel so perhaps you can avoid an extreme sunburn.
