Is **ODDTAXI** underrated?
IMO it is rated.
It’s got a good rating, which it deserves. Perhaps it is underwatched though.
Thanks for the work.
I propose replacing [RT!] with another tag. Right now, it’s being used by to recommend people to read a manga. IMO it can be more general-purposed, and be used to tag posts in which people are asking for recommendations as well.
Also, “Read This!” doesn’t make as much sense for anime, if we want a consistent tag for both communities.
The most straightforward replacement is [Recommendation], but it’s long and a pain in the ass to type. Gotta check a thesaurus.
Her intelligence is still low after the transformation😭
Based on the difference between average score and my rating on AniList, some of my favourite underrated anime of 2020s are (sorted from largest to smallest delta):
number | title | year | average score | my rating | delta |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Cells at Work!! Season 2 | 2021 | 7.2 | 10 | 2.8 |
2 | BELLE | 2021 | 7.3 | 10 | 2.7 |
3 | BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense. | 2020 | 7.4 | 10 | 2.6 |
4 | Gushing Over Magical Girls | 2024 | 7.4 | 10 | 2.6 |
5 | Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! | 2024 | 7.4 | 10 | 2.6 |
6 | The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You | 2023 | 7.7 | 10 | 2.3 |
7 | Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 1 | 2022 | 7.8 | 10 | 2.2 |
8 | Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2 | 2023 | 7.8 | 10 | 2.2 |
9 | The Demon Girl Next Door Season 2 | 2022 | 7.8 | 10 | 2.2 |
10 | TERMINATOR ZERO | 2024 | 7.1 | 9 | 1.9 |
From what I observed, the higher the rating for a show, the more likely I am to like it (and give it a high score)
Not sure how to take popularity into account. How do we judge if a show is underwatched anyway?
It’s a pretty fun whodunnit.
There’s one aspect - that’s critical to the whole story - that annoys me though, enough for me to consider dropping it.
The only issue I can think of is that in the world of super long light novel adaptation titles, you might run into character limits with the longer title that a different tag would have.
While this is a good point, I don’t think cutting down 6 characters would be of much help.
Instant Regret - extremely short, at just a few chapters long (and just a few pages per chapter); well-received by this community too; highly recommend you to binge this if you haven’t already done so
Monster Mira’s Second Form Is Way Too Cute
Pretty much most readers’ reaction:
Meta:
Looks like Photon has started recognizing words in square brackets as tags, so I’m now inclined to use them.
My only complaint is with the way some tags are spelt.
Presumably, DISC
is short for discussion
. If this is the case, can we just use the full spelling?
The Week 38
tag takes up 8 characters, which is not far off discussion
’s 10 characters.

I’m planning to watch the following TV series:
i.e. most likely watch to completion
i.e. good chance of watching to the end, depending on how it goes
i.e. probably drop after a few episodes, but there may be a few surprises
Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions - season 2
I’m glad it’s not a tragic ending.
Edit:
Just found out the author also wrote A Tale of a Certain Droid. No wonder this is so good.
Yet another chapter where Rentarou does not appear.
I bet the Serious Group worships the god of infinity.
This is basically a kicked out from party trope, but shoujo version.
That’s so smart. I was thinking of how this manga could end while achieving maximum happiness / utility for everyone, but I fixated on Hareta and can’t think of anything good.
Centering it on Misaki would solve it.
I still can’t think of a satisfactory way to prevent the game from breaking or ending though. (e.g. Hareta can pretend to date any / all of the heroines, but would date Misaki behind the scenes, but that’s kind of lame and out of character for Hareta)

should still be bullied a little bit. Maybe not as far as back in my day, but definitely don’t be encouraging that. I like anime but that’s not normal nor should it be normal
Why? Is it because they are different from others? Surely them doing their own thing don’t hurt you personally.
Completed the following:
Heard plenty of praises for it before. It moved up my priority queue thanks to the latest manga chapters.
It is good as expected and I can see why everyone likes Marin. In fact, I’d say she carried the show quite a bit. Wakana does not have as much of an impact but he’s decent too.
Like most other seinen romances that I’ve consumed, there’s a lack of unnecessary drama. For example, at the end of episode 10
it looked like Wakana was going to cause a rift in their relationship over a small issue. I thought the episode is going to end with a looming drama as a cliff-hanger, which I’d find annoying. But Marin just straight-up spoke up about it, crushing the drama before it even begin, all in a span of one minute.
Those shounen and shoujo romances can learn from this (though at that point, they would probably be considered seinen and jousei).
It’s among my potential top favourites at the moment (i.e. score of 9 / 10). Looking forward to the next season.
Coincidentally, I picked up the manga The Story of a Succubus Who Came to the Human World. It looks like it’s inspired (or referenced) by the succubus manga from My Dress-Up Darling. Real cute and wholesome.
WorldEnd: What are you doing at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?
Kinda like Captain America but in a fantasy world.
This anime surprisingly fulfills many of my criteria for a Gundam-like show. At one point, I was half-expecting the talisman to float around and attack enemies like funnels / dragoons / gund bits.
Not sure if it’s because the anime tried to adapt too much of the source material in too few episodes, but I find that there’s a lack of explanation and depth when it comes to characterization and world-building.
Due to its flaws, I’ve gotta give it a 7 or 8 / 10
The Story of a Succubus Who Came to the Human World - looks like it’s inspired by the succubus manga in My Dress-up Darling (or got referenced in it); real cute and wholesome
Making Progress on Yuri Before the Deadline - yet another yuri manga; nothing special, but I enjoyed it
the way they got into a relationship was unexpectedly fast, to the point of it being a tonal shift; not that I dislike it though
Rock is a Lady’s Modesty - the main characters’ names are clearly inspired by Kaguya-sama; seeing how it goes
Delusional Teacher - teacher projects her perverted thoughts onto her students; funny enough for me
My Goddess Spurs Me On - more cute lesbians
Drawing: The Greatest Mangaka Becomes a Skilled “Martial Artist” in Another World - standard isekai; meh
Gal Can’t Be Kind to Otaku!? - yet another nerdy guy and flashy girl romcom, but this one differentiates itself by: 1. having two girls 2. one of said girls is a closet nerd
All progress so far hints at a threesome ending, which is nice
Inaho-kun Is Supposed to Be a Fake Sweetheart - another trap romcom; humor / character / plot don’t click for me
Not a medical professional, but I thought surgery is supposed to be the last resort. Perhaps the doctor determined that the symptoms are that severe.
Also, I kinda ignored it previously in this series because the situations tend to be emergencies, but shouldn’t he inform the patients about the risk of surgery before getting their consent?
Lastly, I thought Carpal Tunnel is a programmer’s thing, so I was quite surprised to learn that it is indeed a common affliction for blacksmiths (or any occupation that uses their hands a lot). As usual, this author did their homework.
