The vibe coders and every person using an LLM can’t complain about it. It’s fair game.

Empty readme and no comments in the code. Its useless to anyone who would want to change or fix it. It’s junior’s code and unacceptable in a professional environment.

Don’t forget subscriptions. We were freed by Linux, GCC, and all the open source tools that replaced $1000 proprietary crap. They now have that money again through AI monthly plans.

A lot of people on HackerNews have a $200 monthly subscription to have the privilege to work. It’s crazy.

early nineties … first time computer users

Computer were invented way before that, and I was there and don’t remember seeing idiots like that in the past.

The only useful “AI” ever created is the one used in health applications to recognize certain patterns like cancer or organs. And it’s only used to help doctors, it’s not making decisions because it’s not reliable. It’s a quick sorting machine. But it’s not a LLM at all.

And as others said: students were lazy but they had to work to learn something, now anyone can cheat at home and it will create an idiocracy in the next decades (and it already does with a few people around me, it’s not a fantasy).

Every other AI is bullshit. But it still makes me feel good because if OpenAI can pirate all the books, I can keep on torrenting for free without feeling any guilt. Thanks ChatGPT!
