I know we’ve given up on the title but it’s still frustrating to watch us give up on the title.
Did we give up, though? Brentford ended with 0.19 xG even with Wissa’s 0.13 xG chance that he scores. We’ve been doing this for a few weeks - investing just enough minutes and energy to be reasonably sure we’ll win, and then resting legs. We can’t afford to throw the pasta at the wall with Madrid on Tuesday.
We gave up when we put this lineup out, if we’re being real. Or at least made it a second priority. 2 wins in 7 in the league, man…
