I’m very interested to see what happens as a result of the Merseyside derby vis a vis discipline. I fully expect an E20 (failing to keep players under control) charge from the FA and for the PGMOL to start targeting Slot with contentious decisions, since everyone is convinced that Arsenal aren’t the only ones to whom that happens.
Nothing
The second age of The Moyesiah at Everton is definitely something. Who says football isn’t romantic?
The Merseyside Derby at Goodison having a 41-38-41 record is so poetic.
Perfectly balanced
Me, who points out that it’s clearly can’t be that good if Michael Oliver felt he could ruin it with a red card.
Kim Little extending was not on my bingo card
Apparently, Chelsea also have a striker problem.
That leaves Maresca to choose between persisting with Christopher Nkunku as a striker or using Cole Palmer as a false 9. Nkunku, whose future was in the air during the January transfer window, did not impress as a forward against Brighton.
Chelsea, who are in fourth place, visit Brighton again in the league on Friday and questions will be asked about why they did not reinforce their attack last month. João Félix, the Portugal attacker, was allowed to join Milan on loan. Chelsea looked at signing a striker or a left-winger but decided to focus on targets for the summer.
Well there goes our cheeky bid for Nicolas Jackson
Also: they didn’t reinforce their attack because the board said “you’ve been reinforcing for ages! you need to start harvesting!”.
