Are you for real? Nothing about Eco’s essay implies that a “socialist” country (or, let’s be real, an authoritarian country that uses the aesthetics of socialism to sell their garbage ideology to dim morons like yourself) cannot be fascist (or ur-fascist).
Well good thing you’ve read the paper then, and now know fascism isn’t when the government does things and the more the government does things the more fascist it is, or whatever thing you were thinking before.
