    I agree that this is an issue, but the concerns over an attack seem far less deadly for a distributed generation technique like solar.

      The issue is that all these installations use solar inverters from a handful of big manufacturers, most of whom push their customers into using their cloud systems.

        Jup. That’s the part where it is fucked up. At this point it should be open source due to it controlling critical infrastructure.
