There are many places the downvotes come from - bots, white knights, those ignorant of the situation, oblivious Kremlin supporters - and there are few who upvote something that, as the article mentions, can be used as propaganda in favor of Kremlin.
But yes, I’m glad that some credible western media at last dares speak up about this problem. Hopefully it results in something being done about it, but the other problem remains, and it feeds desperation: They’re running out of manpower.
Well, everything’s relative. There’s not many left who are genuinely deemed credible. Nonetheless BBC has undoubtedly a big reach, and this significantly increases the chances of people talking and taking the problem seriously.
