I can completely agree. Would add that the international community should take the same approach to this, to war crimes and to any illegal invasion or genocide.
It’s a strange distinction to make. Bombing from planes is bad, but missile attacks? artillery? plain old ground troops using guns? no comment.
But he’s not entirely wrong to make that distinction. Aerial bombing can do a disproportionately large amount of damage.
I think it’s a little too esoteric. He needs to just say that Catholics cannot back politicians and political parties that start wars of aggression.
He was talking with airline executives in the context of aviation. IMO “no one should be afraid that threats of death and destruction might come from the sky” and the references to WW2 include everything else too implicitly.
If you read the source article, you see that even the theological part uses aviation terms.
I like how you disagree in your first paragraph, agree in your middle paragraph, and then kinda disagree in your last paragraph before widening the scope to the point that you’re suggesting a completely different topic 😄
Did you get lost on your way to Quora?
Yeah, bombs need to stay on the dusty earth where God intended
After the crossbow sanctions were so successful?
Good luck with that
