    It’s actually pretty mad watching all this sudden attention on C115y. From what I can tell it all grew from someone (admittedly it seems someone in the know somewhat) commenting that the three judges should meet soon and what the potential punishment could be on We Are The Overlap.

    I’m still of the mind it’ll be a huge fine. I think the stick in the wheel for points deductions those years and title losses will be the ‘what could have beens’ with European qualification. I think they’ll view any punishment has to be retrospective, so applying a punishment this or next season wouldn’t really be considered fair.

    But fuck that’d be funny. It’d be peak Spurs too.

      I think minimum is a relegation ngl

        Definitely needs to be more than just relegation. Otherwise they’ll just bounce right back up and it’ll be nothing more than a very minor inconvenience. Plus, apparently they can’t relate them outright, but the league can apply a huge points deduction (like -80) that effectively sends them down.

        I think it should be all of these:

        • Massive points deduction
        • Ban from an European contests for 3-5 years
        • Transfer ban for 2-3 seasons (they have plenty of talent in the academy hopper already)
        • Huge financial penalty (in the range of at last £50m or more), with subs of that money going to other clubs who were in the PL during their years of dodgy dealing
        • A big fat asterisk next to so the trophies they win during that window of time, in perpetuity
