His career has been dead. Magazine Dreams never got the appreciation and response that it deserved.

His career isn’t dead because he’s working with the Daily Wire, he’s probably working with the Daily Wire because everybody else iced him out.

He’s been collecting acting awards and fat paychecks since his first film in 2017.

His career is dead because he beats his girlfriends.

The Daily Wire will hire him because they and their audience like that in a guy.

I don’t believe he beat his girlfriend.

He went from white to black so I don’t think we’ll be hearing any allegations like this about him again.

…he was found guilty of assault. He was even sentenced to domestic violence intervention. There are multiple-- not just one-- unrelated, independent persons who have accused him of abuse …this isn’t even one of those “well all of the charges were dropped” scenarios like Kevin Spacey.

He went from white to black so I don’t think we’ll be hearing any allegations like this about him again.

by all means, expand on this.

He was convicted of accidentally hurting his ex when pushing her into a car when she was attacking him. Not great evidence that he beats women.

People can make accusations, that doesn’t make them true.

My “white to black” line is a reference to a joke we have in the black community about black men who date white women and then get accused of assault. The part of that line which I actually mean is that I greatly suspect that Majors picked his current girlfriend because, in part, she is black, maybe he thinks if he goes a different route, things might not end up the same way as his previous relationship.

bruh he even admits to strangling an ex and has accusations from 20+ women— statistically, one of them’s gonna not be white (not to mention statistically, attempting to strangle a woman has a near 100% chance to lead to murder).

maybe under other circumstances your unshakeable loyalty would be admirable, but here it’s just untenable and comes off dogmatic at best and suspicious at worst.

I actually didn’t know he admitted to strangling an ex. Hopefully that won’t happen again and he’s changed as a result of having to go through anger management or whatever as part of his sentencing.

For those that don’t know, Ben Shapiro’s produced movies that weren’t explicitly branded as being under The Daily Wire, including one starring Thomas Jane and Radha Mitchell.

Dallas Sonnier-- the same person who produced all three of Craig S Zahler’s movies– is behind the Daily Wire’s push into cinema. Zahler is being touted by some outlets as a model right-wing film maker, but he has kept his mouth shut on the matter. Reading between the lines that he has no issues casting problematic talent, and wrote a movie with near-caricatures of Native Americans, it wouldn’t surprise me what his political leanings are.

(…also worldofreel/Jordan Ruimy has a bit of a sordid history when it comes to being a credible source 1, 2, and 3)

My only familiarity with Daily Wire films are Run Hide Fight and Matt Walsh’s mocumentary films.

Run Hide Fight was pretty well done, if a little bland. It’s basically Die Hard in a high school. However, it’s important to note that the Daily Wire had nothing to do with the film’s production, they only bought the rights to it and then distributed it.

Matt Walsh’s mocumentaries were fairly funny, although I do think that Am I Racist would have benefitted a lot by treating its subject more seriously, like What Is A Woman did.

sure, but “Executive Producer” is not a small title/amount of investment. it’s not like it was independently-financed and then picked up like Angel studios/network does with their movies.

…also, “funny” in like a this-is-so-fucking-stupid way, right?

i’ve seen enough of Walsh’s opinions from social media I ain’t giving him an iota of my money or voluntary attention.

No. Well, maybe a little, there were some gags in Am I Racist that really didn’t work for me.

Anyways, if you don’t like Matt Walsh or are anywhere on the left, you aren’t going to like Matt Walsh’s movies and I wouldn’t recommend them to you.
