I’ve never walked out of a movie, but I remember watching people walk out of Ong Bak because they were pissed that it wasn’t in English.

This is why Europeans make fun of Americans. Reading subtitles is not that hard. I’ve been doing it without any problems since I was 5 years old

I’m from the UK, so we’re European…but that applies to us too. Our response to anything other than English is to just speak English a bit louder.

And we are talking about Ong Bak. A movie all about amazing martial arts and stunts. The dialogue isn’t exactly critical to enjoying the movie.

Haha yeah, all you really need to know is who’s the hero and who’s the villain and even that is pretty easy to figure out without the dialogue

I am American. I’ll watch subbed movies, but sometimes I prefer dubbed. Miyazaki movies, for example, I don’t want to look away from the art to read, so we do subs. I generally prefer subs though, one reason being I can’t stand when mouths don’t match up. And dubs always seem bored, or something.

And Europeans make fun of Americans for plenty more than subtitled movies.
