    Absolutely terrifying. I feel so bad for those people.

    A few years ago (maybe during Maria?) we tuned in to local Bahamas tv online and saw the coverage of Bahamians just before the storm hit. The news anchors were praying for each other and asking that other nations would please send aid. They were giving out instructions for how others could stay safe, then the feed cut suddenly. It was chilling.

    I was in the Caribbean when hurricane Irene hit. That was only a category 2 when it hit land, and even though I was safely tucked away in a concrete hotel, I was still scared. I could never imagine what it felt like for the locals.

    The storm about to hit Jamaican is simply unimaginable.
