lemmy.basedcount.com has them, because of course that exists and of course it does (what’re you gonna do, have PCM without flairs??), but I’m pretty sure they’re using a fork
I mean not having reductionist straw man shitholes like PCM is one thing but setting out to create a space with the express purpose of being an echo chamber is pushing it
There’s a diversity of ideas in spaces that could be described as libleft, and they often don’t work together.
Right libertarians centralize societal power in the hands of the rich, which doesn’t sound like freedom or liberty from authority to me. They’ll still fund cops to break your face if you threaten their property as much as a government protecting a state. “Existing socialist states” are fairly capitalistic and don’t allow people to oppose the ruling class. Doesn’t sound very liberating for workers to me.
The whole grid is fucked, as the constructs don’t have a universal meaning for the creators of it to capture in the questions that determine your score. Last time I took it, some of the questions basically marked me as being right wing or authoritarian for answering a question from a more socialist lens. The questions aren’t worded unambiguously, sometimes I strongly disagree with all options, and it assumes a level of ignorance from those taking the test. I don’t trust my government, but I want unaccountable capitalists to be squished by democratic systems.
It looks like it was implemented in the frontend, people from other instances don’t have them in the communities and I can’t see them from Eternity or the browser in mobile. It’s like the custom emojis added to hexbear. I hope some support is added eventually in the lemmy protocol.
I’m all for Lemmy getting new features but I’d like to avoid the MatrixChat problem whereby the protocol is so complicated that none of the clients except the official one even try to implement any features beyond chat and E2EE (I’ve tried half a dozen different Matrix clients and Element is the only one from which I’ve been able to successfully place a voice call) while still lagging behind its competitors in terms of features (custom emotes have still yet to be fully implemented)
I’ve been using Jerboa and it does spoilers just fine. It also shows exact split vote counts on posts and comments which I’m not sure why more Lemmy clients don’t do. It doesn’t have any of the fun swipe gestures like Sync or Voyager though.

I’d prefer just not having PCM. at all. flairs or not
I mean ditto but like
Acceptable PCM would only have a libleft flair.
Change my mind.

I do too, but I would wait until all of the Lemmy mobile apps have figured out CommonMark before trying to put new features on them.
Lemmy’s dialect of Markdown is not the same as Reddit’s but Sync does not seem to have gotten the memo and Voyager doesn’t support spoiler tags at all

Same here, spoiler tags don’t work on Eternity. Do you know any app that can?
I have tried matrix but I want to hold out until I can set up a home run instance so I haven’t been looking for clients.

I prefer using swiping gestures. I’ll wait until Eternity developers add support for spoilers as it hasn’t been too intrusive for me at least.
