Listening to today’s Arsecast, I share Andrew and James’ frustration and disappointment at how the club has handled the Partey situation.

Letting his contract run down, I can understand the legal perspective. But to offer him a new contract despite the circumstances leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. I feel that a club with supposed values like ours making such a decision seriously undermines those values.

Why did nobody step up and say “this is an awful idea and we should abandon it”? Baffling.
