Unfortunately a precedent has already been set by Omari Hutchinson, at the very least. He got lured over there from our academy by a boat-load of money, a house for his family, etc.

Not saying Nwaneri would necessarily do that too. I think he’s got more common sense. But it’s not an impossible scenario.

Hopefully he realizes that he still has a future with us. He’s definitely a confidence player though. I think the reason his form dropped off a bit at the end of last season was because he wasn’t getting as much match time. But you’re right, he’ll get even less if that at Chelsea than he will with us.
