Just finished a rewatch of the first two seasons of Foundation. The third season premieres on July 11. The first two seasons hold up pretty well on a rewatch. Really looking forward to the third season; the reviews I’ve read say it’s the best season yet. It’s not an entirely faithful adaptation of the original Asimov story, but that’s fine. The original story in its original vignette format was essentially unfilmable. But they found some clever story mechanisms to make the plot work well in a TV format. The genetic dynasty was an inspired touch. Also, I’m totally convinced the Lee Pace can shout a man to death IRL.
