Is it good that the new Canadian PM is visiting Europe first?

Should Europe seek stronger ties with Canada?

    Definitly yes !

If we could have cheaper maple syrup and Sortilège Whisky here in Europe thanks to trading agreement, that would be great 😃

Justin Trudeau has lovingly embraced Trump during his past term, and even partially during this one (talking about how good his and Trumps relation used to be). It feels really weird that Canadians are acting like usa is the worst all of a sudden. Welcome to the club of everyone who has known that usa is the worst for the past hundreds of years.

The fact that you consider listening to what Justin Trudeau says to be living in a fantasy world is beyond idiotic.

I always had the impression he was just trying to be diplomatic and not needlessly enrage Trump. It didn’t come over as enthusiasm, and their policies were quite different. For a Canadian politician with a real enthusiasm for Trump-style politics, see Pierre Poilievre. There’s also Stephen Harper working behind the scenes with Trump-allied organizations.
