anyone not in Meta’s pocket

I’m convinced that is a generated metric that is far away from reality. the objective is too make their product seem better than it is
you ask the user for it if they want to recover the account and hash it. if the hash matches your previously stored hash then you send the email
other providers that position themselves as secure for activists or journalists do exactly that and they cannot handle that information
in that particular case the people involved were identified through their recovery email which they did not hash like ‘safe’ other providers do. they have positioned themselves as safe even for activist and journalists and have failed to deliver in that account consistently.
no surprise since their CEO is a MAGA guy
there has been in the news several instances where proton has given to law enforcements information that have hold onto. in some cases regarding journalists.
their answer is always “ah, yeah. we do keep that one, but not the other data”
before you ask…an example https://privacyradar.com/news/privacy/proton-mail-payment-data-stop-cop-city-activist-identified/

I have no idea what you talk about:
also iphones this days can be fully submerged in water with zero issues. I would not trade off that safety

and even with that, recent iphones are way easier to repair than a few years ago. I would not say anyone can do it, but it’s definitely easier than before when you basically had to disassemble the whole thing

you could say he was there enough time to let a new ceo step in without all that baggage.
they said Tim will continue his job lobbying working with governments while Ternus runs the company

every non-apple macbook I ever bought always had some issue. broken hinges, screens that went bad, just go dead, etc. It’s not like apple ones are defect-free but I have 4 of them running at home, the oldest from 2012 running without zero issues beyond a wasted battery. repairability is not an issue if they dont break in the first place.

if that wording is what bothers you, you are part of the problem

have you met Ursula von der Leyen? she will absolutely cave to Trump. No doubt about it

that is an absurdly high price for energy. I pay on average between 20 and 30 euro cent per kwh

…forcing the evacuation of more than 150,000 people. More than 2,000 die in the process.
it looks precise to me

There is also the possibility that Pumpkin Harkonnen just wants some ‘donations’ to provide individual exceptions to brands.

while this sounds awful. there is little correlation between patents and actual features. companies patent whatever they can. it mean little if it is a good idea or not. they just want the largest possible patent portfolio.
yes. I misread you who answered to and jumped at it.
those celeries are definitively too underpowered
edit- > I just realized you meant the celeron and it all make sense now! sorry!
this chip has better single thread performance than the mac pro m2 ultra that apple still sells.
there are in fact very little chips faster in single core than this chip
edit- I went and look for some geekbench and the neo cpu is way better than I expected compared with intel cheap cpus.
the best intel result in single core is the i9-14900ks which is lower than the a18 pro (~3200 vs~3400). If you go to multithread and look for the closes match you need to check i7s or i9s from 11-13 gen (e.g. i7-11700f, that have 50% less score in single thread).
so I have no idea where you get the idea this chip is underpowered
the issue with this product is that it is not the right product for most people that discuss technology online, but it is still a great product for tons of people
so that taxi drivers don’t get payed and they get all the money, of course.
