I haven’t watched the trailer, this is supposed to cover Messiah, correct? Can you see how he’s going to deal with Children if he is changing major character motives?

Was disappointed with the tone/direction taken with Paul’s character in the last movie. If the director understands the story himself he’s certainly not doing a great job communicating it to the audience. I can see how he would need to write Messiah a bit differently to match the tone he set, but am struggling to see how he could maintain the story with at least passing accuracy to the major theme of the original.

Hope they played it right. I knew someone who worked on proprietary factory machines and he always refused to train anyone else on them and got paid stupid amounts to service them.

I have location services turned off in windows on my work computer and MS word really dislikes it. Whenever I do a side by side window with word included I get a notification (from word) that I should enable my location services in settings

That’s neat we can use the placement itself to help corroborate the date based on the astronomical history! That also might help us understand if a given monument has a solstice element or not (it might look like a good candidate but fail to match the astronomy).

I wonder if solstice was notable to so many ancient cultures independently or if it just spread around. Seems to be incorporated into a lot of ancient monuments.

Agreed I’ve usually found existing employees honest and helpful. Often it’s hard to get an opportunity for an honest conversation before you accept a new job though.

Moving 1000 engineers to a “data labeling team” and calling it applied AI basically seems like demoting 1000 engineers to non-engineering roles, I’d be insulted but people working for Meta in 2026 probably don’t have a lot of pride to lose. Seems like most AI companies outsource the labelling stuff so I wonder how Meta is justifying paying people engineering salaries to do it.
