  • Could be something like a YMCA which I personally prefer over a Planet Fitness when I do have a gym membership. One example of my preference for it is because mentally I can’t do treadmills when running and some places I have lived before haven’t bean great for running outside. Most YMCAs have an indoor track that you can run on even if it is tiny, and there are usually multiple options across town. Not many other gyms in my area with indoor tracks.

That’s a really dumb example. The OP could be a swimmer in which case a more expensive YMCA membership makes even more sense then. Just as another example.

  • No, no. He’s right. I didn’t vote for him. I did vote. I wish I didn’t live here. I’m doing what I can since getting out isn’t really an option, but we have to acknowledge the damage and turmoil we as a collective are doing to the citizens of the world. The orange pedo might be making you’re life or my life fucking miserable, but we are still probably better off than any of the families of the school children he bombed.

Telling any of them that you didn’t vote for him isn’t going to make them feel any better while the amount of suffering he is causing us is a fraction of the suffering he is causing other people. I’m not saying you can’t be upset or that your suffering isn’t valid. It’s not a zero sum game, I’m just saying I think it’s worth understanding where the rest of the world might be coming from right now.

  • Why are you quoting item #3 from their list without the full context of the statement? They aren’t saying the code should be accepted or used. They are basically saying don’t automatically assume malicious intent on the contributor and instead use it as an opportunity to potentially teach that contributor about why that kind of contribution will be rejected and what they could do instead. It’s all about outreach.
