  • I like xyz summoning in yugioh. There were plenty of cards that could swarm the fields with monsters, but they were usually weak af; basically glorified tokens. With xyz you just put em together into a boss monster with some power behind its effect. Then the rank up spells where you can summon one with another really added some extra flavor.

Shame the game got a little too fast after 2023. I mean I like it faster and having more options than “eat shit til you draw an out,” but it feels like there’s more outs than deck

If they’re on facebook, they prolly want something as close to facebook as possible, and the only one I can think of is Nextdoor. Only problem is it’s mostly 50 year olds complaining about their neighboorhods’s minor problems or local contractors advertising themselves over and over again. Other than that, it’s pretty much facebook tit for tat without the zucc. But they got easy invite links so we could prolly change it for the better, even if that’s a massive pipedream

  • Publisher’s Clearing House.

So this company has ads on local free tv stations in the US about how you could win $5000 a week for life, but when you go to the website it’s like 97% ads and maybe 2% contests, and some contests are straight up unenterable if you have an adblocker. Then before you can officially enter, you have to go through 3 pages of ‘as seen on tv’ crap that it tries to sell you before you can finish entering. Also it lags like a motherfucker with or without an adblocker, cause there’s so many ads taking up that much bandwith, cause heaven forbid a webpage ad be a static image. And of course you have to have an account, so your spam folder and paper mailbox fill up with the worst things possible.

  • closest thing I’ve gotten to watching tv is this: I got one of those smart tvs that you can load apps on, and it had tubi on there, so I’ll throw it on every now and again while cooking or cleaning, but even then it’s just background noise and mostly Mystery Science Theater 3000. Sometimes I’ll look at the other channels but the only thing that really interests is old 90s classics or this one sports channel that shows unconventional sports like jai-alai or footvolly or whatever
